Garbage Pick-up All of the City households and Commercial locations are served by a Leander municipal garbage program, with service provided by Clawson Disposal. Once a year, the City holds the “Spring Clean-up Day”. This gives all City residents the ability to purge their home of clutter and unwanted items. This information will be posted on the front page of the website when the schedule is set.
The City is divided up into sectors. Service for each subdivision, rural areas or commercial sites have a specific day of the week that garbage is picked up (M-F). If a holiday falls on a Friday, the trash is picked up the next calendar day. Clawson observes New Years, 4th of July, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
The Utilities office can help you determine your pick up day; call 512 259-1142. Should you have problems with your service, contact Clawson at 512 259-1709. You may also view the Solid Waste Collection Day Map.
Recycling
For a listing of items that Clawson will and will not accept, click here for Recycling Options. Clawson will accept yard waste. Tree branches should be in small, secured bundles, and bag leaves.
For those items that Clawson will not accept, the following are area sites that accept items for recycling. Make sure you contact the site for their policies and fees. Some of the recycling centers will accept computers, peripherals, and entertainment equipment, office equipment software, appliances, household hazardous materials and yard-waste. Please double check with them first.
