Notice of Public Hearing

Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Leander, Texas, will hold a public hearing in the Council Chambers at Pat Bryson Municipal Hall, 201 North Brushy Street, Leander, Williamson County, Texas 78641 on September 7, 2023, at 7 pm to consider adoption of an updated Service and Assessment Plan and Assessment Roll for calendar year 2023 and apportioning assessments levied against the assessable property within the District(s) among the subdivided lots. About PIDs

A Public Improvement District (PID) can be created under the authority of Chapter 372 (link is external) of the Texas Local Government Code to finance or reimburse the costs of certain public improvements for the benefit of properties in the PID area. Each year, the city council must review and approve an annual Service and Assessment Plan (SAP).

PID Areas

Crystal Springs - The Crystal Springs Public Improvement District was created on March 16, 2017. On May 3, 2018 the City Council accepted and approved the Service and Assessment Plan (SAP) and approved the issuance of $5,475,000 PID Special Assessment Revenue Bonds, Series 2018.

Deerbrooke - The Deerbrooke Public Improvement District was created on June 15, 2017. On October 19, 2017 the City Council accepted and approved the Service and Assessment Plan (SAP) and approved the issuance of $8,650,000 South Improvement Area PID Special Assessment Revenue Bonds, Series 2017 and $2,535,000 North Improvement Area Revenue Bonds, Series 2017.

Oak Creek - The Oak Creek Public Improvement District was created on July 17, 2014. On October 16, 2014 the City Council accepted and approved the initial Service and Assessment Plan (SAP) and approved the issuance of $5,200,000 PID Special Assessment Revenue Bonds, Series 2014.

Annual Payments

Annual PID assessments are included in each homeowner's consolidated property tax bill, which is collected by the county tax office. Separate billing statements are not mailed for PID assessments. See below to find and view your property tax bill:
