Garage Sale means a bona fide sale commonly known as or advertised as a garage sale, lawn sale, attic sale, rummage sale, or any similar casual sale of personal used goods or merchandise upon a residential property provided not more than one sale per four month period occurs upon the residential property, nor does it last longer than five consecutive days and does not occur on a Monday or Tuesday unless such day is a holiday.

Garage Sale Sign Guide
- Temporary signs, usually of cardboard or foam board and mounted on an angle iron or a wooden stake.
- Maximum area: 6 square feet
- Maximum height: 3 feet
- Location restricted: Signs shall be located on private property with permission from the property owner.
- Time-restricted: Signs shall only be posted Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. All signs shall be removed by midnight of the last days of the sale or Sunday, whichever comes first. Signs removed by the City will be subject to a fine of fifty dollars ($50) for up to five signs removed, with ten dollars ($10) for each additional sign removed due and payable by the property owner on which the sale occurred.
While a permit is required to conduct a garage sale, a sign permit is not required if signs adhere to the Garage Sale Sign Guide restrictions.
Read the Irrigation Permit Requirements (PDF) for more information. In accordance with city ordinances, all irrigation permit applications must include an irrigation plan. For any irrigation located in the city rights-of-way, a hold-harmless agreement also must be signed by the property owner and installer and submitted to the city.

The real estate broker must fill out a Broker Registration Form and upload it under the "Open House Sign Permit" application type.
Realtors listed on Broker's Open House Sign permit may apply for one Open House Sign permit per calendar year after Broker has been issued their permit.
Fees charged are based on the number of signs to be permitted. One color-coded sticker per permitted sign will be issued and needs to be placed on bottom right corner of the front of the sign.

You also must complete the Solicitor-Peddler-Vendor Requirements and Application (PDF) and upload the file along with a copy of your valid state-issued identification card ID (i.e. driver license, State ID, etc.) with your online permit request.
