Blue Santa Program

2023 Leander Police Department Blue Santa Program

The annual Leander Police Department Blue Santa program is a partnership between LPD's Community Services Division, Hill Country Christmas Bureau, and the Leander Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association (LCPAAA). Our annual goal is to provide gifts to Leander families in need so they can enjoy a Merry Christmas.

During November and early December, we collect new toys, bikes, and other items in an effort to provide each family with two or three new toys for each child from "Santa," and appropriate items for the elderly in our community. Depending on donations, we also strive to give each family new blankets and a space heater.

There is always a need for volunteers. Go to Hill Country Christmas Bureau for more information or to make online donations. (See below for Leander drop-off donation locations).

2023 Registration

Those wishing to receive items from the Blue Santa Program must register. Registration is Nov. 11 to Dec. 1.

Registration Requirements

If you have registered in previous years, your information should be in the system. If this is your first year, you will be asked to provide additional documentation such as:

• Proof of residence - current utility bill (in applicant's name)
• Current photo ID - Texas Drivers license, TX ID card or green card

In addition, each family member ages 12 and younger:

• Birth certificate or guardianship papers
• Current school enrollment document (latest report card)

Areas served:

• Any household with children ages 12 and younger attending schools within Leander ISD boundaries.
