The Leander Police Department's Community Services Division is a sworn police officer position consisting of one Sergeant and one Officer. The Community Services Officers' duties are to act as a liaison with the community, attend community events, give tours of the police department, and coordinate many of the community programs the police department already has while growing new community events and programs.

The Community Services Officers currently coordinate and runs the Citizens Police Academy, Public Safety Cadets, National Night Out, Neighborhood Watch, the Drug Take Back program, Coffee with a Cop, Take-10 CPR Training, Citizens on Patrol (C.O.P.), Educational tours and classes, Safe Trade Location, and coordinating volunteers for the police department along with many other programs and activities that are in development. The Community Services Officers are also the Liaison to the Blue Santa Program, the Citizen's Police Academy Alumni Association, the Williamson County Coalition Against Underage Drinking, Life Steps, and all other community-based programs.
