Leander Police Department's Detective Division is responsible for pursuing justice on behalf of victims of crimes against persons, property, and society.
There are ten sworn officers assigned to the division.
Detectives are assigned to investigate and assist in the prosecution of property crimes including burglary, motor vehicle theft, arson, stolen property and theft, embezzlement, fraud, forgery, narcotics, counterfeiting, weapons crimes, and computer/phone forensics.
Detectives are also assigned to investigate crimes against persons which include homicide, sexual assault, assault, robbery, offenses against partners and family members, and all crimes against children.
