Become a Police Volunteer
The Leander Police Department’s Volunteers in Policing program offers several areas where volunteers may assist. Volunteer positions include chaplain, victim services advocate, and Citizens on Patrol (COP).

CALEA Accreditation Management
The purpose of CALEA is to improve the delivery of public safety services, primarily by: maintaining a body of standards, developed by public safety practitioners, covering a wide range of up-to-date public safety initiatives; establishing and administering an accreditation process; and recognizing professional excellence.

Command Staff
The organizational structure of the department is divided into five basic divisions. The Command Staff consists of the Chief of Police, Assistant Chief, Uniform Services Lieutenants, Criminal Investigations Lieutenant, and Support Services Lieutenant.
