Leander Police Department has a Police Officer who is assigned full-time to warrants. The Warrant Officer serves and assists on any arrest warrants.
The Warrant Officer, by executing departmental warrants, allows uniformed patrol officers to remain available for calls while also allowing detectives additional time to conduct criminal investigations. The Warrant Officer is also available and/or assists with detainer or extradition procedures when a subject is arrested by another law enforcement agency in reference to a departmental warrant.
