Old Town Christmas Festival
Calendar Date: Saturday, December 2, 2023 - 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Every first Saturday of December, Old Town comes alive with Christmas joy! Hosted by the Leander Chamber of Commerce and the city, holiday activities include the Old Town Rudolph Run, Christmas Marketplace, Hometown Parade, pictures with Santa, live performances, and local food and craft vendors.
Old Town Rudolph Run - 10 a.m.
Our annual Rudolph Run is a 5K, chip-timed event that starts in the heart of Old Town and tours the streets of Leander. The course is flat and fast, with no hills or rough terrain.
Christmas Marketplace - 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Holiday vendors will be open for business in Old Town from 11 am to 9 pm. Enjoy children's activities, live music and theater productions, crafts, food shopping, and more!
Holiday Community Parade - 1 p.m.
Local businesses, nonprofits, community partners, and city officials celebrate our wonderful city and the holiday season for the community parade. This year, the parade will occur at 1 pm after the Rudolph Run.
Tree Lighting & Holiday Movie in the Park - 6:30 p.m.
To round out the day's events, we welcome everyone to gather in the heart of downtown Leander at the future site of Old Town Park for the ceremonious lighting of Leander's 60ft. Christmas tree. After the tree is lit, stick around to watch Elf on the big screen and enjoy some hot chocolate.
Blue Santa Program
Leander Police Department, Hill Country Christmas Bureau, and Leander Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association partner each year to provide Christmas gifts to those in need. We collect new toys, bikes, and other items to provide families in need with new toys from Santa Claus during November and early December. Learn more about the Blue Santa Program.
