Drinking Water Quality Reports

The City of Leander publishes an annual report, sometimes called a Consumer Confidence Report (CCR), on the quality of your drinking water each summer. Numbers reflect sample test results from the previous year. View our latest Drinking Water Quality Report (PDF). View the Drinking Water Quality Reports archive.

The Environmental Protection Agency sets regulatory limits on the amount of certain contaminants in water provided by public water systems, and the data shown in each report comes from tests conducted on water distributed by the City of Leander.

Where Our Water Comes From

City of Leander drinking water comes from the surface water in Lake Travis. The lake is located in Travis County approximately thirteen miles northwest of Austin on the Colorado River.

Lake Travis water is managed by the Lower Colorado River Authority for flood control, water supply, electrical power generation and recreational purposes.
