The Leander Fire Department responds to all Hazardous Material incidents within the fire district. All firefighters are certified to a minimum of Haz-Mat Operations level and several are certified to the Haz-Mat Technician level. In the event of a large spill, the Leander Fire Departments coordinates with the Williamson County Hazardous Materials Response Team to ensure proper mitigation and safety is conducted throughout the clean-up process.
