The Travisso Water Reclamation Plant consists of activated sludge processing using the Modified Ludzack-Ettiger configuration. Treatment units include a bar screen, a rapid mix chamber, an anoxic basin, an aeration basin, a final clarifier, a disc filter, a sludge premix, a sludge gravity thickener, two aerobic sludge digesters, and a chlorine contact chamber. Prior to irrigation, effluent is stored in storage ponds with a surface area of 3 acres and a capacity of 40 acre feet.
The wastewater treatment facility and disposal site are located in the drainage basin of Bloody Hollow in Segment Number 1404 of the Colorado River Basin.
