The Charter Review Commission is an ad hoc committee of seven members appointed by Leander City Council for one six-month term, and each member must be qualified to vote in a municipal election in Leander, Texas. The purpose of the Commission is to review, hold hearings upon, and make recommendations to the Council, if any, of proposed amendments to the city's home rule charter.

The Council shall consider recommendations and, if any amendments are presented, shall submit the amendments for voter approval in a municipal election.
