The Public Arts and Culture Commission encourages, conducts and sponsors public and nonprofit programs that further the development and interest in fine and performing arts in Leander.

LPAC was established to promote public art, culture and education that contributes to a sense of community. Council may appoint up to nine commissioners, each of whom serves a term of two years, and no member shall serve more than three consecutive terms.
LPAC funding sources include utility bill donations, a percentage of certain city capital improvement projects, voluntary donations by private capital improvement project developers and other private donations or grants.
Visual Arts
Leander identified several public facilities for the display of paintings, mixed-media, multimedia, sculpture, murals and other fine art that foster creativity, whimsy and thought.
