Do all of the Park pavilions have electricity?: No. Benbrook, Bledsoe and Lakewood Park Pavilions are equipped with electricity. These are able to handle small electronics like radios and crock-pots. Inflatables are not to be plugged into the pavilion. The outlets are not able to handle that much power, if inflatables are plugged into the pavilion, the renter will will be responsible for the damages. Devine Lake Park Pavilion does not have electricity.

Parks & Recreation - Facility Rental

1. How do I request a facility?: Pavilions, the Bledsoe Amphitheater, the Mason Homestead and Athletic Fields can all be requested through our online catalog.

2. How far out can I rent an athletic field?: Athletic fields can be rented 14 days in advance including the day of the reservation. Example: If today is March 13th and you are able to rent through March 26th.

If you do need a special event permit:

Fill out the Special Event Permit Form (PDF) and submit to the Leander Parks and Recreation Department. For more information on Special Events in the Park, reference the Policy and Procedures guide (PDF).

4. Can I have inflatable at my rental?: Yes! You can find which parks allow inflatables in the Special Events in the Park Policy and Procedures document (PDF). Supplemental permits for inflatables can be found in the Special Event in the Park Permit Application (PDF).

5. Can we use a slip and slide or dunk-tank at the park?: No. Water is not available at the parks for this type of use.

8. Can you hold a rental space?: No, rentals are not scheduled until we receive the reservation fee paid in full.

9. Can we use a grill at the park?: Yes. There are small onsite charcoal grills available for use. Outside grills are prohibited. Coals must be properly disposed of. Do not dump on the ground or put into trash can! View grilling safety from the Leander Fire Department (PDF).

10. Can I rent the Robin Bledsoe Pool?: Yes, call the Parks and Recreation office at 512-528-9909 for availability. We will open the pool Memorial Day weekend and close Labor Day weekend. The pool is not available for rental during normal pool hours.

11. Can I rent the splash pad?: No. The splash pad is always open to the public and can not be rented for exclusive private use. There are three picnic tables in the splash pad area which are available on a first come first serve basis. The water splash pad operates April to October, 7 days a week from 9 am to 8 pm.

12. When do I get my deposit back?: Deposits are returned as long as everything is left in good order. We will process these refunds the week following your rental. If paid by cash or check, it will be returned via check to the household address of the reservation holder. If payment for the rental was done by credit card it will be returned to the card used.
