Lakewood Park

Lakewood Park amenities include a large pavilion with restroom facilities, splash pad, playground, dog park, fishing pier, lakeside pavilions, vehicle parking areas, trails, skate park, basketball and volleyball courts, and kayak rentals.
Lakewood Splash Park
The Lakewood Splash Park will be open from the first weekend in April to the last weekend in October from 9 am to 8 pm daily.
Lakewood Kayak Launch
Non-motorized boats are welcome to use Lakewood Lake and the kayak launch during the park's normal operating hours between 8 am to 7:45 pm.
Two-person kayaks, stand up paddle boards, life jackets, and oars are available for rent through PaddleEZ. Rental rate for kayaks and paddle boards are $18 per hour.
History of the Park
In 2015, with support from Texas Parks and Wildlife and the Williamson County Park Foundation, the city acquired 125 acres for the development of Lakewood Park located east of 183A Toll and south of Crystal Falls Parkway near the Crystal Springs, Cold Springs and Hazlewood residential subdivisions in Leander.
In 2018, the City approved a budget for Lakewood Park to include the base, tier I and tier II amenity options proposed by Halff Associates.
