Sarita Valley Greenbelt
The Sarita Valley Greenbelt is the first segment of the Main Branch Brushy Creek Trail identified in the Leander Parks, Recreation and Open Space Master Plan. The Main Branch Trail begins at the convergence of the North and South Branches of Brushy Creek (between Mel Mathis Boulevard and Highway 183A) and runs southeasterly to the southern city limits of Leander.
When complete, it will provide almost 6 miles of multi-use trail linking neighborhoods, schools and commercial areas. Twenty-one acres have been dedicated by the Sarita Valley developer, Riverside Resources, and approximately 4/10th of the trail has been built. Ultimately, 3,600 linear feet of trail and a trailhead off of Reagan Boulevard will be constructed within the Sarita Valley Greenbelt when additional phases of development are initiated.
